Additional Disclosure: On the 15th June 2022, VPNCity was contacted by an affiliate network who wished to insert their code into the VPNCity extensions. Their code was intended to act as an affiliate link generator and would insert additional information into search results. For example if you searched for “shoes” on Google, it would highlight and insert additional information for certain shoe brands in order to increase sales (conversions). VPNCity was offered a payment for each additional sale generated through the use of the code inserted into the extensions.
For clarity and transparency, VPNCity declined the offer and instructed the network that 3rd party code will not be placed within our extensions or applications as this can compromise the privacy and security of our customers. This was made extremely clear in subsequent emails by the CEO.
